News you can use: Late Friday Edition
Well, it’s Friday again, so that means it’s time for another update!
I’ve got two awesome pieces of news to share today:
First, I’ve sold my story “How the Goddess came to Spring Flowering Alley” to Crossed Genres for their May issue. I actually got the news last week and blabbed on Twitter and Facebook, but in my infinite wisdom, neglected to share the news here. Thanks to Kay and Bart for buying the story — it’s one of my favorites and had been looking for a home for a long time. I think it’s found the perfect place. (Thanks also to my 11th hour beta readers who helped me get it out there one more time.)
Second, I’ve been invited to become an Inkpunk. Of course I said “yes!” For those of you not in the know, the The Inkpunks are a small group of kickass writers and all-around generous people who blog about the business, process, and inspiration of fiction writing. They’re also dear friends, and I’m honored to join their company.
The conversation on the blog skews a little towards beginning writers (as most of us are) but I think the advice is valuable, regardless of where you are in your career. Discussions are welcome. Stop on by.
I’ll be blogging about once a month there starting in June, as well as maintaining this blog and my Booze Nerd column over at Functional Nerds.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
